5th JanuaryVs. Loughborough RoversBad Start to the new year we can only improve from that, very disapointing i thought dont think many of us gave 100% percent for one reason or another, too much food, too much beer, too cold or a crap pitch. Still they probably had to deal with the same circumstances so there shouldnt be excuses. Im a little concerned we havent really performed brillaintly since the start of the season and im not sure why.On the positive side its great to see Phil back i think he adds so much more to the and we look a far more dangerous team with him in it, but i think we must try and keep our strongest side available out on the pitch, i cant help but think it could have been a different story if we had.
But... we will have to cope without our shaggy haired utility man Hodgen (tut tut it was a disgraceful challenge you could have seriously ruffled his afro) hopefully it wont be a long suspension cause he is a vital part of the team.

Vs. Swannington
That was a bit tasty wasnt it, least its good to see we dont lower ourselves to there level we can take a great deal of pride from that, otherwise it could have turned very nasty.
Performance wise it wasnt the best but it was job well done none the less, the game in general had a feeling of a routine win. We have keep the momentum going through to the new year.
P.s Sibo i think you opened your christmas present too soon you'll have send your new shooting boots back to Santa
We know its going to be tough into the second half of the season as everyone will be raising there game to beat us and trying to prove a point and i have this funny feeling a certain Mr Marriott will be a marked man so we all need to chip in with goals a bit more, but we will have Phil back aswell as i think we have really missed him im sure he'll find the onion bag a few times.
And finally hope you all have a good christmas and a cracking new year try not to put too much weight on boys ive got a funny feeling its gonna be a gruelling first training session back.

Vs. Britannia Inn
Thats more like it, wasn't that fun and to be honest it was good confidence boost, was really good to see everyone playing with a smile on there face and, looked like every one enjoyed it aswell (well apart from maybe one person...Mr Beech tut tut). Just a shame the ref spoiled it slightly by throwing his dummy out and generally acting like a spoiled little kid, but i do think its something that needs to addressed next season and find a pitch with changing rooms, because i find it embarrasing when we have to tell teams we dont have any.
If anyone knows of any decent pitches let us know so we can get something sorted, because the pitch we are currently looking at in Cossington has a tendancy to flood, although it has had a lot of work done to it i still think if a lot of rain does come it will still leave the pitch unplayable.
On a lighter note i personally really enjoyed the traditional christmas curry on Friday night, i hope every else did aswell, with a fantastic turnout. Im already trying to think of the next team day out so if anyone has any ideas let me know and i'll see what i can do.
Peace out, Love ya
7th December
Vs. Beacon Athletic
Hmmmm...... Where did that performance come from, after a few poor games in recent weeks we came back to form with a bang. Every team member showed they can dig in when faced with a tough game, sometimes players go missing in the but everyone stood up and showed what there made of. Although the game ended in defeat we should aim for that sort off standard week after week, starting with brittania next week.
We need to get out the blocks quickly next week and show the determination again, we have got to keep the tempo up throughout to prove were not living off reputation we earned at the start of the season. I think this could be a game where other teams should look at and think " God help us weve got riverside this week." Cause lets face it is more fun when we play football and almost score when we choose to.
I would also like to add that i am really pleased with our fans coming to home and away games no matter what the weather is, because lets face it most of us would have looked out the window and thought sod it its too cold, its always nice hear support from the sidelines other than Az moaning and whinging lol. I hope i speak on behalf of the team that it hasnt gone unnoticed and that we really appreciate it and long may it continue.
30th November
Vs. Sileby Athletic
Although this was not our best performance by far i still think there was some good positive points to come from the game, namely our ability to pull a performance out of our arses when were up against it, and at some points looking like were about to get a pasting, we just need to make sure when we do go behind heads still have to be held high as we proved we can pin teams back when needed and force mistakes from defences.
But what i think our biggest problem could be that our confidence turning into arrogance which could be why we havn't performed the last couple of weeks, we just have to remember to keep the tempo as high as possible no matter who we are playing, because when we do we play teams off the park as we did at the begining of the season, and last half hour against sileby. Dont get me wrong because this team is by far the strongest team i have been part of, and like to think we have bonded really well off the pitch aswell.
Also i would just like to add we may have to control how much alcoholic liquor is consumed on a saturday night (dont worry i include myself in this aswell) as i think this contributed to the overall performance aswell, i know its always tempting cuz it tastes sooooooooo good, i am looking forward to the curry on the 12th we have to make sure to give the boat house some shit as our so called sponsors left us up shit creek, i.e get some chanting going from across the street maybe.
And on that note ill love you and leave and whos coming town with me on saturday night before the big cup game..................................................Maybe not Tee Hee Hee
